Beat Springtime Boredom with These Staycation Ideas
After a long Winter, many Fort Wayne residents have a serious case of cabin fever. If you’re among them, fear not, there is a light at the end of the tunnel in the form of Spring. Yes, Spring Break will be here before we know it. If you’re strapped for cash or pressed for time, you might consider a staycation. Fort Wayne has much to offer in terms of entertainment and activities. Here are just a few ideas:
Enjoy the great outdoors
Fort Wayne is home to 90 miles of trails. Take a leisurely walk or bike ride and explore the city. If you don’t own a bike, you can rent one (as well as kayaks and paddleboards) from Fort Wayne Outfitters.
Indoor Fun
If the weather doesn’t cooperate, there’s still fun to be had at the SkyZone indoor trampoline park or UltraZone.
Get in tune with your artsy side

Stop and smell the roses
Literally. The Foellinger-Friemann Botanical Conservatory is the place for all things horticultural. Their special exhibits change regularly, so be sure to inquire.

Fort Wayne is home to several restaurants. If the weather is nice, you might consider dining al fresco at such establishments as JK O’Donnell’s, 816 Pint & Slice, Dash-In, or Mi Pueblo, Granite City.

Watch a show
Fort Wayne has plenty of local theaters to catch a movie, play, or concert. Check out the schedules for the Embassy Theater, Civic Theater, Arena Dinner Theater, Cinema Center, Northwood Cinema Grill, or movie theater to see what’s playing.
