What to Do for Halloween in Fort Wayne
Many of you wait all year for it and now it’s just a couple of weeks away… Halloween! A favorite holiday for many who seek a little scare. And, Halloween in Fort Wayne has no shortage of spooky and not-so-spooky events for the whole family!
Wild Zoo Halloween
Bring your kids out to the zoo for the Wild Zoo Halloween and trick or treat with the animals, pick pumpkins, and enjoy other kid-friendly activities on October 14 – 29th.
A favorite Halloween tradition in Fort Wayne is Fright Night on Saturday, October 15th from 10am – 11pm. Fright night has over 25 activities going on around downtown for all ages including the Zombie Walk through downtown, the Halloween Haunt and Car Show Spooktacular at the Community Center, a Scavenger Hunt at Parkview Field, Lantern Tours, Haunted Walking Tours, a Ghostly Gala, Zombie Ball, and of course an outdoor showing of the Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Botanical Conservatory. The Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo’s MaskZOOrade is a new fundraiser for adults 21 and up. Wear your favorite costume and enjoy music, appetizers, cocktails and more at the zoo at night.
Haunted Castle and Black Forest
One of Fort Wayne’s top Halloween attractions, the Haunted Castle and Black Forest are the places to go for a good scare. Celebrating their 36th anniversary of frightful fun!
Halloween Pet Parade
Halloween isn’t just for the people, it’s for the pets too! Dress up your pets and bring them out to Franke Park on Saturday, October 22nd from 11am-2pm for Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control’s 7th annual Pet Parade. There will be a pet costume contest, parade, kids crafts, face painting, trick or treating and more!
Young Frankenstein Outdoor Movie
Join Sweet so Geek on Saturday, October 22nd for a free outdoor showing of Young Frankenstein starring Gene Wilder. While you’re there grab some food from Vietnummy and get your photo taken at the photo booth!
Trick or Treating
The official Fort Wayne Trick or Treat hours will be 5:00-7:00pm on Monday, October 31st. Make sure to have your porch light on to welcome trick or treaters!
